Polish Library in Washington, DC
Our history
The Polish Library in Washington was founded in 1991 by a group of volunteers led by Tadeusz Walendowski. The aim is to serve local Polish community and also to promote Polish culture to a wider audience. In addition to lending books and films, the Library is involved in many activities.
What we do
The Polish Library in Washington (Biblioteka Polska w Waszyngtonie) is a small community library established and operated by volunteers. Our collection includes over 7,000 books by Polish authors or about Poland (in Polish and English), and over 300 DVDs with Polish movies.
In addition to library services, we offer film screenings, book discussions, lectures and concerts.
